About
Who knew that an about page could be so difficult to write? Do I keep it personal or make it professional? Tell it like a story or make it a one paragraph bio? Should I make it about me or my business? I could go on, but I think I’ll just get to it…
Hi, I’m Tim. (pause) Normally this would be where you introduce yourself, but unfortunately for me this conversation is one sided. (longer pause) So… I guess I’ll give you some background? I’ve been shooting video for around 10 years now. I first got into weddings back in 2002 when a friend from Kansas State had me video their wedding. By 2007 I’d been in business for myself for a few years and had shot over 40 weddings, but was feeling a bit burned out. I wasn’t happy with how formulaic my videos had become so I did what anyone would do… got a full time job and joined a rock band.
Now I’m in Kansas City with my beautiful wife of five years, in a different band, and getting back into weddings, but using my experiences from the past two years to approach them in a completely different way. I want your wedding to be a documentary film with interviews and behind the scenes footage. I don’t want to fabricate the story, I just want to capture it so that you can experience it again.
The things that are most interesting to me are the smaller events that take place surrounding the main event. Its the small moments that are captivating to me.
So if you’re interested in really remembering your wedding ten years from now and like my approach, then give me a call or send me an e-mail and I’d love to setup a consult. Blessings.
